He likes sunshine, old family photographs, scotch, Banana Republic and spending way too much money on iTunes. She likes reading, MAC cosmetics, red wine and jewelry. They love to travel, meet new people and spend time with their families.

For well over a decade, Alex and Kate have grown a successful Halifax-based photography business with a focus on weddings and families. They are recognized for truly inspired, dramatic images as well as their ability to poignantly capture definitive moments.

Alex and Kate are passionate about what they do - and it shows in every photograph they take. They enjoy the connection that forms with their clients, and love how it can lead to a unique and productive collaboration.

With an intimate understanding of lighting, timing and composition, Alex and Kate capture simple and pure moments of love, joy and the unique bonds between friends and family - so you can keep those memories close to your heart for years to come.

Capturing a moment in time

One of our most treasured possessions is the 70-year-old photograph of Kate's grandparents holding hands outside the church on their wedding day. Framed and on the wall in our hallway, it represents the beginning of a new family - one that we are a part of.

We hope that you and your loved ones will treasure those fleeting moments captured in images just as much as we do.
High school sweethearts from rural PEI, this professional yet playful husband and wife team bring a unique blend of two perspectives to everything they photograph. With a low key style, they love it when people say things like "We didn't even know you were there" and "We didn't even see that happen."

Rebecca and Brodie feel that it's the people that really make weddings wonderful. When you look back at your photography, they want to show you all the little things you may have missed during your action-packed day. Things like your parents looking on in pride as you exchange your vows, a tear in your sister's eye as you deliver a speech, or your guests reactions as they watch you dance together for the first time as husband and wife.

Well-rounded artists, Rebecca is a self-taught Celtic musician and Brodie a self-styled chef who loves to invent new dishes. It's this marriage of adventurous spirit and experience that makes Rebecca and Brodie a perfect match for your own wedding.

At the end of the day, weddings are a celebration of the love between two people. We love getting caught up in the excitement, remembering how we felt on our wedding day.
Rose and Des are fairly nontraditional. Rose proposed to Des and bought him a camera instead of a ring. He accepted both the proposal and the camera, and the rest is history.

With a wedding photography style that is often described as fun, personal and spontaneous, Rose and Des love capturing those moments in-between poses when people are feeling more relaxed and less aware that they are in front of a camera.

Easygoing and approachable, Rose and Des are sensitive to your requests - they really listen to what clients want for their wedding photography instead of operating on a cookie-cutter plan. They work hard to capture all of the moments that couples often don't have time to appreciate in the rush of the day.

We've left every single wedding we have photographed feeling like an extended part of each family. We love that we can be a part of such a special event and provide the couple with a hard copy of their memories for years to come.
