It was so nice to reconnect with wedding clients Lela & Brad and there handsome little guy, Kirk.

We received the sad news that my grandmothers brother passed away on Friday. The image below was taken just two weeks ago - now I am so grateful I had this opportunity. Even though his health deteriorated over the last several years, he remained the big man (he was 6'6") with a big heart that I've looked up to since I was a child.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Paul and his sons at their home in the beautiful community of Bayside.

We had a wonderful series of sessions on Saturday and met a number of incredible people including Emily & Jake who are getting married this summer.

I've been planning this project for some time now but it took a visit from Kate's cousin Claire to really get things started. Claire lives in Australia and unfortunately we don't get to see her very often so her visit with us over the past week seemed like a perfect opportunity. We explained what we were up to and she enthusiastically agreed to be our first subject.

Over the next 6 months, I plan to take portraits of friends and family. These images will be a bit more simple, reflective and contemplative than I usually do. At the end I will design a coffee table book with a short bio for each of our subjects. This will be something to be enjoyed now and my hope is that it will become a treasure for my daughter Sophia someday.

Waking up in Emerald Lake, BC this morning - getting ready for Fiona & Kevin's wedding - very excited!

We had a wonderful outing to the park on Saturday where Sophia enjoyed some major puddle jumping with her friend Lexy!
